Young Steelworkers Strike

The dispute over wages at the steelworks of John Baker and Bessemer, Kilnhurst, near Mexborough. where over a hundred youths have been on strike since Monday continues in a state of deadlock.

Yesterday an official of the firm claimed that the union leaders were opposed to the stoppage. Youths in membership of the Iron and Steel Trades Federation had remained at work, also had all the adult employees.

The strikers are engaged in various departments of the firm, but work is being continued) although greatly inconvenienced.
