Raising the Festival Flag

Bird’s eye view of the Swinton and Kilnhurst Festival of Britain Flag as it was raised for the first time on Friday for the opening of the new cricket square at the L.N.E.R sports ground in Rowms Lane.

About to hoist the flag is Mr. A. Barker (secretary of Swinton and Kilnhurst Festival of Britain committees).
