New Headmistress
Mrs G M Gillet, widow of the late Mr R Gillett, and daughter of Mr and Mrs CWH Peat, Swinton, has been appointed Headmistress at the Kilnhurst National Infants School, in succession to Miss Fanny Creighton who is now Headmistress at the Swinton National Infants School.
Mrs Gilbert served her apprenticeship in the Swinton national school, under her father, and was at the Derby Training College. She has served as a certified assistant at the Grange Church School, Rose Hill Council School and the Doncaster Road Council School, Mexborough.
Mrs Gillett holds certificates in Art, mathematics, cookery, housewifery, handwork and handicraft and other subjects.
While at Greasborough she was head of the evening school.
