The older generation of Kilnhurst residents will be able to identify some of these members of Kilnhurst United Methodist Church photographed 50 years ago.
The picture was taken in the grounds of the residence of the late Mr. B. Heald, and has been loaned to us by Mr. J. Whitfield, of Regent Street, Horbury, an old reader of the paper.
The group includes (Mr. Whitfield informs us), Mrs. F. J. Carr and the late Mr. Carr, Mr. G. Holland, Mr. A. Russell, Mr. D. Milner, Mrs. H. Heald, Mr. R. Jackson, the late Mr. and Mrs. G. Jackson, Mrs. W. Saxton, Mrs. Costall, Mrs. Hancock, Mrs. J. Whitfield, and Mrs. J. T. Whitfield.
