Kilnhurst mother and child fly to Sierra Leone

To join her husband this week, Mrs. Sheila Taylor (26) and her three-year-old daughter, Barbara, left their Kilnhurst home and flew from London to Sierra Leone, West Africa, where her husband, Mr. Harry Taylor (29) has been working for the past six months.

An electrical engineer. Mr. Taylor Is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence W. Taylorof 47 Greenwood Road. at whose home the couple have been living.

At the moment Mr. Taylor Is working for the Sierra Leone Development Company as an electrical engineer, and the family are expecting to remove West Africa until next summer

a former Mexborough Grammar School student, Mr Taylor gained his national and higher National examination at Rotherham Technical College, as also attended Sheffield Mechanical Centre.

Until his engagement with the Development Company, who have their headquarters in London, Mr Taylor was employed at Kilnhurst colliery.

His father is Kilnhurst NUM branch secretary.

Mrs Taylor (nee Sheila Cliffe) is the second daughter Mr and Mrs A Cliffe of Meadow View Kilnhurst.

If the couple and their daughter Barbara settle in West Africa, they are thinking of returning there after they have spent a three-month holiday at home next summer.

Mr Clarence Taylor said this week that the people had their own house to move into and there was plenty of activities for them all.
