Going Back To Work

About 400 men working in the Silkstone seam at Kilnhurst Colliery, South Yorkshire, who have been thrown idle by an unofficial strike of four gate-belt extender workers will return to work to-day so that negotiations may be opened between the management and the men’s representatives.

The seam normally produces 600 tons of coal day. It is understood that the alleged grievance concerned certain wage cuts.
