Frankie Vaughan’s Promise To Kilnhurst

Frankie Vaughan, one of Britain’s top variety artistes for well over a decade is scheduled to make a guest appearance at Kilnhurst early next year

Frankie has promised to make a visit to help the fundraising efforts at the local youth club, whose members are collecting money to pay for a new gym to be built beside the existing buildings in what the club hopes will be the not-too-distant future.

Club Leader, Mr. Gordon Weldon, and three committee members, on Sunday visited Sheffield’s Cavendish Club, where Mr. Vaughan was topping the cabaret bill.

After the show Mr. Weldon was fortunate enough to be allowed backstage to meet the star who, during a long chat, promised to put a visit to Kilnhurst among the important dates in his diary for 1971.
