For Kilnhurst Soldiers.

An excellent concert was given in Roomfield Baptist schoolroom on Tuesday evening last, presided over by Mr. Crossley Sutcliffe, in aid of the Kilnhurst soldiers’ comforts fund.

The following were the artistes, who gave two items each—Miss Edith Sutcliffe, soprano; Miss Doris Lomas, contralto ; Mr. Leonard Fielden, tenor ; Mr. F. Rogers, bass Miss Elsie Mitchell, solo violin ; Mr. Sam Mitchell, cornet ; Miss Elsie Malone, elocutionist ; Miss Marian Mitchell, accompanist.

Everything passed off in a first-class manner, and all the artistes were much appreciated and very heartily thanked for their free services on behalf of the 50 soldiers who have left the Kilnhurst district.

The net result from contributions and the concert amounted £20 10s.
