Accident.

WhiIe walking to school on Wednesday about 1.15 p.m., Riley Burkinshaw, the five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. H Burkinshaw, of 36, Victoria Street, was knocked by a motor cycle ridden by Mr. Butcher, a teacher at the Council School, and was lucky to escape severe injury.

He was taken to Dr. Atken, who addressed the wound, and yesterday appeared little the worse.

The cause of the accident was a sudden dash by the child across the street to join his brother.
