Accidental Poisoning at Kilnhurst

A distressing case of poisoning occurred at Kilnhurst yesterday.

Four young children, the sons Mr. John went out Friday with intention of gathering mushrooms. Unfortunately they gathered and brought home quantity poisonous fungi, which they gave to their mother, who cooked them on the Saturday morn it for breakfast.

The children ate heartily of the supposed mushrooms, and were soon after taken exceedingly ill.

Dr. Stewart was called in, and once pronounced the children be suffering from poison. Prompt remedial were taken, and all eventually recovered, with exception of the eldest (eight years), who still lies precarious state.
