About a thousand shell-workers employed at the Kilnhurst Steel Works, yesterday, received from Messrs. J. Baker and Co., Ltd., notice terminating their employment at the end of the month.

These demobilised workers will, of course, receive the out-of-work pay of the Ministry of Munitions. Included among the work people affected are 650 women and 130 discharged soldiers.

A good many the men will be reemployed, no doubt, when the works are reorganised for peace production
