At the Rotherham West Riding Children’s Court, yesterday, a twelve-years-old Kilnhurst boy was summoned for having travelled on the Great Central Railway without paying the fare.
On October the lad took a child’s ticket from Kilnhurst to Mexbro, although he was old enough to pay an adult, fare. He passed the barrier at Mexbro’ without handing over the ticket.
In the evening he returned to Kilnhurst with the ticket and was detected.
A fine of 7s. 6d. was imposed
