“Triple” Wedding at Kilnhurst

Two Sisters and a Brother

Great interest was aroused in Kilnhurst by a “triple” wedding solemnised at the Kilnhurst Parish Church.

Two of the brides and one of the bridegrooms of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Shaw, of Hooton Road, Kilnhurst.

Miss Eve Shaw, the third daughter, was married to J. L. Hamp, eldest son of Mrs. late Mr. William Hamp, of 65, West Avenue, Rawmarsh.

Miss Maggie Shaw, the youngest daughter, was married to Mr. Roland Thickett, fifth son of Mr and Mrs. W. Thickett, of Hemingfield.

Mr Alfred Shaw, the third son, was married to Miss Phyllis Thorpe, fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Thorpe, Kilnhurst. The Rev. F. W. Shepard, vicar of Kilnhurst, officiated in each case.
