The marriage of Miss Sarah Jane Whaley, third daughter of Mr and Mrs W Whaley, two, Rix Rd, Kilnhurst, to Mr Arthur Lines, only son of Mr and Mrs E Lines, 21 Fitzwilliam Street, Swinton, took place at Kilnhurst  Parish Church on Saturday.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a grey coat over a maroon dress with accessories to tone. She carried bronze chrysanthemums and white heather and was presented with a spray of white heather by her niece, Miss D Whaley. Bridesmaids were Miss Whaley and Miss Lines. Mr. R Cavill and Mr. G. Frost were best man and groomsman.
