Mr. H. S. Broadbent (Kilnhurst) and Miss E. Elliott (Rawmarsh)
The wedding took place at Kilnhurst Parish Church on Saturday, the Rev. E. J. Cheverton officiating, of Miss Enid Elliott, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Elliott, of 48. Main Street. Rawmarsh, and Mr. Harry Stanley Broadbent, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Broadbent, of 115. Meadow View, Kilnhurst.
The bridegroom is serving in the R.A.F. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a blue angora two-piece with hat to tone, and carried white and pink carnations and white heather.
The bridesmaids were Misses Connie Gamister, Peggy Elliott and Blanche Hillis, who wore dusky pink. Misses Elliott and Hillis also wore bonnets of the same material, and all had posies of anemones.
Mr. Donald Hague was best man and Mr. J. W. Hillis groomsman. Among the gifts received was a canteen of cutlery from the staff of the Parkgate Iron and Steel Company.
