“Telegraph” Cup Winner

Alter only three years’ golfing, well-known Jack Haythorne, of 2, Beighton Road, Klinhurst, on Saturday won the “Telegraph” Cup at Thrybergh. His score was 83-82-165-24-141. Five competitors finished with 144.

Jack, who is 27, works as a ripper at Kilnhurst Colliery, and took a shift of work to take part in the tournament. He will work an extra shift to make up for lost time.
