How’s Kilnhurst?
A Kilnhurst soldier serving in India is Pte. H. Tate, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Tate of 55, Springfield Road, who joined the Army two years ago.
He went out to India last December and in a recent letter, home he writes,
“I am happy out here, so do not worry about me. We heard all about Hitler bombing Warsaw, and if Jack (one of Pte. Tate’s brothers) gets called up tell him to watch himself because I would not like anything to happen to him.”
He concludes by asking “How are they all in ‘Blighty’?” and what Kilnhurst is like now.
