Pte. G.E. Knott

Mr. J. Knott, Glasshouse Lane, Kilnhurst, has received a letter from the officer commanding, stating that his son, Pte. G. E. Knott (Yorkshire Regt.), was killed in action on Oct. 28 by a bursting shell.

Private Knott had been wounded twice.

He enlisted in Nov., 1914, and went to France in Aug., 1915.

He was home on sick leave last Sept. He has just passed his 20th birthday.
