Gunner J. B. King, of 14, Springfield Road, Kilnhurst, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. King, was called up with a Territorial unit, and is now somewhere in England. He had been a Territorial for three years, and joined up at Rotherham.

Gunner King was formerly a miner at Aldwarke Colliery.

Gunner King was an enthusiastic ambulance worker at the colliery, and had gained a certificate for ambulance work.
