Wounded In Normandy

Mrs. Blunn, of 43, Wheatley Road, Kilnhurst, has received a letter from her husband Bdr. Arthur Blunn, (26), stating that he was in a Hampshire hospital with injuries to the face and head, sustained in the Normandy fighting.

A subsequent letter revealed that he had been removed to an Ayrshire hospital.

Bdr. Blunn is the son of Mrs. Wood of 58, Charles Street, Kilnhurst.  He joined up before the outbreak of war, and served for two years in Iceland.

His brother, L.A/c. James Beech Blunn (29), who joined up shortly after Bdr. Blunn, has served for some time in the Middle East.

Bdr. Blunn was formerly employed at Kilnhurst Colliery.
