Second Lieutenant Kettle, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Kettle, School House, Kilnhurst, has been invalided from France with gas-poisoning, and is now in a convalescent hospital in Fulwood, Sheffield.

He took part in heavy fighting recently in the neighbourhood of Bapaume.
