Signaller Harry Hicks (21), the youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Thomas Hicks, of 112, Meadow View, Kilnhurst, has been in the Navy since last August, before which he was on the clerical staff of Manvers Main Colliery.

He was a member of the Manvers Sports Club, and played football for Mexborough Secondary School, where he was educated.
