Race Week.
The bookings from the L.N.E.R. station at Kilnhurst to Doncaster this week have been the heaviest recorded for many years. The road traffic through the village has been considerable and the ‘buses have also had a fair share of patronage.
About thirty members of the Ship Inn Outing Club held their annual trip to Doncaster Races on Wednesday.
The Birthday Club at the Working Men’s Club also made their annual outing on that day, and several other Kilnhurst clubs visited the races.
Co-operative Trip
The annual trip arranged for employees of the Kilnhurst Co-operative Society took place on Tuesday, about 70 making the journey to Blackpool in three buses.
