Pacific  Model

This is a photograph of a model of a ” Pacific ” locomotive, now under construction by Mr. Charles Verity, of Kilnhurst (shown in the photograph), and his brother, Mr. Alfred Verity.

These young men have been at work upon the model for two years.They intend to construct an exact model of the famous ” Pacific ” locomotive 4472, on the Doncaster-Edinburgh service.

The whole of the work has been done by themselves, except for the construction of the boiler, a fine piece of work by Mr. Martin Swindells, a Mexborough boilersmith, who has himself constructed a locomotive model, a photograph of which appeared in this paper some time ago.
