Obituary – Mr Joseph Tingle

Kilnhurst Parish have lost a prominent worker by the sudden death of October 23 at the Montagu Hospital of Mr Joseph Tingle (55), of 129, Meadow View, Kilnhurst.

A native of Piccadilly, Swinton, Mr Tindall had lived at Kilnhurst for 26 years. He was a blacksmith at Messrs Baker and Bessemer work, when he had worked for 35 years.

Mr Tingle was a sidesman at the Parish Church and had been acquired by their. One of his sons serving in Egypt and was unable to attend the funeral.

The funeral took place at Kilnhurst on Sunday following a service at the Parish Church, conducted by the Reverend E.J. Cheverton (vicar)
