Nursing Success

Nurse Nellie Doris Godfrey, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Godfrey, 14, Beighton Road, Kilnhurst, recently passed her final examination as a Nurse.

Miss Godfrey, who is 24, commenced her nursing training at Leicester six years ago, and having gained registration as a qualified fever nurse, went to Leicester City General Hospital in 1941, where she gained her latest success.

Recently, she has nursed men wounded in the campaign in northern France, gaining experience in penicillin treatment.  She is now a staff nurse at Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool, specialising in surgery.

Her engagement was recently announced to Mr. B. Frisby, a medical student at Liverpool University.
