Mr. John Haigh, Oxford Cottage, Leach Road, Mexborough, secretary of Baker and Bessemer sports club cricket section, and recently appointed football secretary, has been granted a Master of Ceremonies Licence by the British Boxing Board of Control.

Bakers’ cricket, section were runners-up in the Mexborough district evening league last season (final table of which will be found in the sports section of this issue). Bakers’ fishing club section won the “Rotherham Advertiser” cup on Sunday
