Kilnhurst’s Fine Victory
Kilnhurst 8 Rother Vale 1
The “Wasps,” after a very indifferent commencement of the season, played a rattling game in the Challenge Cup tie against Rother Vale, at Kilnhurst. They won very easily by eight goals to one.
The first hour saw the youngsters make the game safe going through fine shooting by Dufty and H and L Staniforth.
Thorpe kept a good goal and is evidently following his brother’s footsteps, while the old West Bromwich and Aston Villa International, Reynolds playing centre half for the visitors, was conspicuous.
The homesters victory was very popular.
