Kilnhurst’s 50th Goal of the Season
Kilnhurst kept their reputation for goal scoring with a 10-0 Rawmarsh League win over South Yorkshire Drainage.
They took an early lead when inside left Rix scored their 50th goal with first-time drive after five minutes.
Three minutes later P Shaw scored with a well-placed header from a corner. D Dung worth in goal for the visitors dealt able of the few shots that were sent at it. Clark scored number three with a well taken goal from a pass by P Shaw just before half-time.
On the resumption the visitors piled on the pressure and Spinks deflected a Clark shot into his own goal for number four. Clark made the score 5-0 when rounding Spinks and easily beating Marsden. Further goals came from Rix, P. Shaw (penalty). Dobbs and two more from Clark to make his fourth goal of the match.
Although beaten ten times Marsden gave a good display in goal for the home team. There were no stars in this workmanlike Kilnhurst side — every player playing well – and displays like this stand them in good stead for the coming cup ties.
