Conisbrough Keep Hexagonal Vase

December 1970

South Yorkshire Times, December 5th 1970

Quote from the November issue of “Antique Dealer and Collector’s Guide”:

“Green glazed hexagonal vase modelled in the form, of the keep at Conisbrough Castle.

The mould for this was originally used by the Bramelds, but was subsequently acquired by James Reed, of the Mexborough Pottery and later by  this Kilnhurst Old Pottery.

The absence of a factory mark renders attribution uncertain.”
