Colliery Accident.

An accident happened at the Thrybergh Hall Colliery yesterday, to a man named William Burnes, a collier living at Swinton.

He was engaged bringing a corve filled with coals out of the place in which he worked, and in trying to open a door which he had to pass through, it crushed him between the corve and the door, breaking his collar bone.

He was taken to his home and medical assistance was immediately procured.
