I believe I am right in saying that not until after his death did any of their local authorities think it necessary to hold exhibitions of the brilliant work of Charles Sargeant Jagger, A.R.A..

Even Sheffield, glad to claim during his lifetime as a product of their university (he was born at Kilnhurst, where his father was for many years cashier and secretary of the colliery), left it far too late.

Now Doncaster folk are to have an opportunity of viewing a memorial exhibition at the Beechfield Art Gallery next week.
