Bus Fire.
Thrill for Passengers at Mexborough.
Last evening there was some excitement Swinton Road. Mexborough, when a bus owned bv Mr. J. Guest, and running from Mexborough to Kilnhurst, caught fire.
There were about twenty passengers, including women and children, in the bus, and the driver pulled up promptly when passers-by drew his attention to the flames coming from near the engine. Inside the bus there was a hit of a panic and a rush for the door, but all alighted without personal injury. In the meantime the driver extinguished the fire, which was caused a fused wire which ignited the boards underneath the engine.
