A Kilnhurst Conservative
Samuel Hague (54), Kilner was summoned for having assaulted John Howard on May 7th.
The complainant stated that whilst he was at work at Kilnhurst Pottery the defendant seized hold of him by the throat and struck him twice in the face. He did not know of any cause for assault.
The defendant admitted he lost his temper and took hold of complainant and shook him.
The complainant said he (defendant) was a Conservative and was like the rest of Conservatives.
The defendant was fined 10/-
