Peter Gladwin, Junior, of Kilnhurst was today, at Rotherham, committed for trial on a charge of breaking and entering the office of Mrs J and J Charlesworth limited, Thrybergh Hall colliery, and stealing pencils etc and 2s 6d in money.

It was stated that at 2 o’clock yesterday morning police Constable Headland found the premises had been forcibly entered and arrested the defendant in the office.

The office itself was in some disarray, and an attempt had been made to open the safe. The constable afterwards saw the defwendant crouching down near the premises, and told him to “come out.”
