Gunner W Rowley (Royal Field Artillery) Highthorne
Gunner Rowley has spent 15 months in France. Last year he had his horse killed under him, and received a slight wound in the head.
On July 8th he was engaged at Trones Wood when four of his mates were killed and he was wounded in the hand.
He is now in hospital at Bolton, Lancashire.
His brother Stoker Overton Rowley, of the destroyer Staunch has served six years in the Navy.
