An old boy of Kilnhurst Council School who is now serving with the R.A. in England, is Sapper G. H. Woodcock (22), only son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Woodcock, of 6. Wood View, Piccadilly Road, Swinton.

Before joining up he worked for Mr. W. M. Banks, of Swinton.

His father served 11 years with the K.0.Y.L.I., and went to France with the first batch in the last war.
