Grateful Kilnhurst
The work of Swinton and Kilnhurst War Welfare Fund is not unappreciated by Kilnhurst members of H.M. Forces, as we have proved by publishing from ‘time to time letters of thanks from Kilnhurst lads.
The latest message of appreciation comes from Corporal Frank Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Thompson, of 12, Rix Road, Kilnhurst, who is now serving in the Royal Air Force.
The letter reads: “I wish to thank all workers of Swinton and Kilnhurst War Welfare Fund for their excellent Christmas gifts which I received. I am sure it gives to all my comrades and myself inspiration to enable us to fight and prevail in the just cause for which we are engaged.”
