Kilnhurst “Terrors.”
“Those lads are a terror to the district; it is every night alike,’’ was the statement made in Rotherham children’s Court, yesterday, when charges were brought against two lads, each aged 14, of having used obscene language at Kilnhurst on 17 November.
Shops had to be closed early, it was assorted, through fear of windows but being broken, and mud had been thrown on butchers meat.
Both defendants were fined £1

“A terror and nuisance to the district” was the description given by a police constable of two Kilnhurst boys summoned for using obscene language.
The punishment was 20s.in each case.
The wages of the lads were 22s 6d. and 32s. 4d. per week.
