“Co-Op.” Losses.
Frank Spick (46), shop assistant, of Rawmarsh was yesterday, at Rotherham, bound over for 12 months for having stolen a lb. tin and 1/4lb. tin tobacco, the property of Kilnhurst Cooperative -‘Stores, where had been employed, between December 3rd and 22nd.
He was also ordered to pay £8 2s. 6d. expenses. Thom A. Purvis (52). marine store dealer, was accused of having feloniously received the 11b. tin of tobacco on December 22pd.
Purvis, in evidence, said he bought the tobacco from Spick for ss. in public-house. He had knowledge no knowledge it had been stolen. He was given the benefit of the doubt and discharged.
