£620,000 Order From Canada

Kilnhurst Firm’s Share

Messrs. John Baker and Bessemer Ltd.. of Kilnhurst, will share with Messrs Steel. Peech and Tozer Ltd.. Rotherham. and Messrs Taylor Bros Ltd.. of Manchester, a subsidiary of the English Steel Corporation an order for railway wheels, worth £620,000 which has been placed by Canadian National Railways.

Canadian National Railways have been supplied for many years by these three firms.

Mr Sydney E. Baker, chairman and managing director of Messrs Baker and Bessemer told the “South Yorkshire Times” on Monday: “It is just a normal order. We get them once or twice a year.”
