The internment took place at Kilnhurst on Tuesday of Mrs J Broadbent (66), 12, Rix Road, Kilnhurst, who died on Friday.

Mr Broadbent was a wife of Mr J Broadbent and was a well known and respected figure in Kilnhurst.

She was a member of the Mother’s Union at Kilnhurst Parish Church and of Swinton Child Welfare Committee.

Her husband is a director of Kilnhurst cooperative Society
