Sgt W Machin (York and Lancs)

has been severely wounded in the right shoulder and left side of neck.

He is now in the Canadian General Hospital.

He enlisted in August 1916, and has been promoted to Sergeant since he reached the line.

His brother, Private Reginald Machin (York and Lancs) has been wounded twice, and is now at Sunderland.
