Kilnhurst Town had a veritable afternoon out last Saturday. Mexborough Town, having three matches on, were forced by circumstance to send an unusually weak team to fulfil the Sheffield Association League match with the “Wasps.” Goals galore was the order of the game.
Needless to say they all fell to Kilnhurst who did not cry content until they got nine of the best past Burn, who despite being beaten so often, played a clever game in goal.
Comment is needless. Suffice it to say that Kilnhurst goals were to the following players: H Caterer (2), Wood (2), J Burkinshaw, Ripon, Bartlett, Tingle and Ball
