The marriage took place at Swinton Parish Church on Saturday of Miss Dorothy Dickson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Dixon, 219 Queen Street, Swinton, and Mr Eric Dawson son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Dawson, 28 Charles Street, Kilnhurst.

Given away by her father, the bride, who carried pink roses, wore ivory satin, with veil and wreath of orange blossom.

The bridesmaids, Mrs. P. Smith, Mrs. R. Sharratt, Miss E. Dickson, Miss P. Cutts, and Miss S. Linarce, received Savings Certificates from the bridegroom. The bride was presented with two silver horseshoes by Miss K. Thorpe and Miss R. Dickson.
